Cooking for One Person

About

They say eating alone is bad for the digestion. True though that may be, sometimes you can’t help it. You’re at your new job and don’t know anyone yet, so you eat lunch alone. You’re single and live alone. You’re living with someone but your diets are so completely different that the only thing you eat or drink in common is limade.

It happens. And though it is difficult at times, it doesn’t have to be impossible. Nor do you have to resort to take-out or a dinner of cheese and crackers every night.

I happen to live with my boyfriend, but he is the pickiest eater I’ve ever encountered – I’m not exaggerating when I say he eats 10 foods, half of which are meats – and I am in love with food.

To add to the problem, I’m a vegetarian.

This blog will be my attempt to document successful recipes for one. They will all be vegetarian recipes.

Cooking for One Person is blog number five in Project VJ.
